KNIGHTS OF RIZAL OPENS RIZAL MONTH 2012
The Order of the Knights of Rizal, in accordance with Republic Act 646, is mandated to organize programs to commemorate Jose Rizal’s life, works and martyrdom.
WHAT:           Rizal Month 2012 Kickoff and Blogger’s Day
When:           December 1, 2012 (Saturday), 4:00 p.m.
Where:         International Headquarters of the Order of the Knights of Rizal, Port Area, Manila
Who:      Hon. Ludovico D. Badoy, Executive Director of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines will be the keynote speaker. Other invited guests are Gen. Paciano Rizal’s grandson Mr. Jose Rizal Lopez, representatives from the National Youth Commission and the Commission on Elections, IdeaSpace of Smart Communications, Inc.,
Under Presidential Proclamation No. 126 issued in 2003, the month of December is declared as Dr. Jose P. Rizal Month. The month-long celebration seeks to promote among Filipino youth the visions and ideals of Dr. Jose Rizal, encouraging them to look up to the National Hero as their role model.
To formally open the Rizal Month 2012, a Blogger’s Day shall be held for bloggers, students and media outfits.
The Knights of Rizal, under the able leadership of its Supreme Commander Sir Reghis M. Romero II has also programmed various activities spread throughout the month of December and would be announced during the Blogger’s Day:
1.  50th national Rizal Youth Leadership Institute (December 13-16, 2012)
2. Search for the Ten Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines 
3. Re-enactment of the Transfer of Jose Rizal’s Urn (December 30, 2012)
